Julien started taking pictures at the age of 8. Back then it was all analog and photography was nothing you would usually do at this age. After two years he dropped the photography for sports, just to take it up again 10 years later.
After a lot of experimentation in all sorts of photography and film-making, Julien decided to study photography at the Lette School of Design in Berlin from 1999-2001. After graduation he went into experimental photography and filmmaking. His works have been shown in various exhibitions, art-fairs, and film-festivals in Germany, England, Irland, France, Sweden, Greece, and the U.S.A. His focus lies primarily on exploring and extending the way we see – both metaphorically and literally.
